a) Non-compliance with BITV 2.0
Usability
Some functions cannot be fully operated using the keyboard (e.g., map applications, interactive elements).
Automatically changing content (e.g., sliders) does not offer sufficient control options (pausing, adjusting speed).
Comprehensibility
Heading hierarchies are partially incorrect.
Link texts are not always unambiguous or do not include references to file formats.
Forms are not fully accessible:
Error messages are not sufficiently described or programmatically linked.
Input fields sometimes use placeholders instead of accessible labels.
Content in plain language and sign language is not available.
Videos are not consistently subtitled or provided with audio description.
Animations may impair accessibility.
Robustness
Dynamic content is not fully compatible with assistive technologies (e.g., missing ARIA status messages).
Some PDF documents are not accessible (not PDF/UA-compliant).
b) Disproportionate burden
Accessibility cannot be guaranteed for external content and linked applications, as these fall outside the scope of responsibility of Hessen Kassel Heritage.
c) Content outside the scope of application
Older documents or content published before September 23, 2018, may not be fully accessible.
