Unsere Museumsbibliothek im Kirchflügel von Schloss Wilhelmshöhe ist seit 1931 eine öffentliche Präsenzbibliothek. Das umfangreiche aktuelle Literaturangebot umfasst etwa 140.000 Bände. Rund 450 Zeitschriften und Fortsetzungswerke werden laufend gehalten.

Acquisition focuses are exhibition and collection catalogs, artist monographs, and reference works. Access from 1997 onwards is available in an electronic catalog.Online Public Access Catalog) proven; older collections are indexed through card catalogs. The specialist literature is located at several sites and can be viewed in the reading room in the church wing of Wilhelmshöhe Palace after registration.

The use of the reference library is free of charge, borrowing is not possible.

The reading room is also a study room. Prints and Drawings CollectionGroup tours are possible by prior arrangement.
