Program
Hessian State Museum
Workshop 1: Discover the world under the microscope!
Take a close look at leaves, feathers, or other natural materials. Discover fascinating patterns, shapes, and structures, and record your observations on a drawing card. You can then take your artwork home with you.
Workshop 2: Paint like a researcher!
What does the world look like under a microscope? Choose an exciting microscopic image as a template and make it shine with your favorite colors. This way, unique artworks inspired by the small wonders of nature are created.
Workshop 3: Build your own magnifying glass!
Build your own magnifying glass step by step with a real lens and decorate it with colors and stickers according to your ideas. Afterwards, you can try out your magnifying glass, explore the museum, and discover exciting details that are easily overlooked with the naked eye.
Live Performance: When Science Becomes Art
For over five hours, an artist inspired by the fascinating world of microscopy creates a unique artwork step by step. Experience the creative process live and follow how science and art merge.
