Alfred Enderle, long-time senior physician in orthopedics at the University Medical Center Göttingen, dedicated decades to researching the topic of dwarfism. His initial medical interest evolved more and more towards cultural history, expanding into different media. In addition to a library with over 700 titles and a collection of prints (approximately 100 pieces) from the 16th to the 20th century, the collection includes around 1,500 historical picture postcards that provide a unique overview of the subject. Thanks to the generous Enderle Foundation to Hessen Kassel Heritage, the collection is now accessible and can be used for scientific purposes upon request.
